• Since the Hamas attack on Oct. 7, more than 1,400 people have been killed in Israel. Thousands of civilians in both Israel and Palestine have been injured and displaced due to the war. 

• In times of crisis, chaos, and instability, the Red Cross “leads with humanity and compassion.” The Red Cross’ Israel Society, Magen David Adom, is responding on the ground, providing emergency assistance, including health services, ambulance services, and more. Red Cross volunteers also provide food, water, comfort kits, blankets, and emotional support. The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), a neutral and humanitarian organization, is helping to facilitate the release of hostages and transport them back to Israel to be reunited with their families.
