This Veterans Day, Support the Bob Woodruff Foundation
Honor U.S. veterans by donating to the Bob Woodruff Foundation, an organization dedicated to raising awareness for the challenges veterans face and helping them achieve success after service.
- There are more than 18 million veterans in America today, with close to 1.5 million living below the poverty line.
- As the nation’s leading nonprofit for veterans, the Bob Woodruff Foundation hopes to invest in solutions to help veterans thrive in the next chapter of their lives. Supporting veterans ensures that those who stand for America are able to have stable and prosperous lives after service. Your donation will go towards transitioning service members into their next careers, housing homeless veterans, family planning assistance, mental health resources, food security, education access, scientific research partnerships, community collaborations, and more.
- In 2006, Bob Woodruff, an ABC reporter, suffered a life-threatening traumatic brain injury from a roadside bomb in Iraq. His survival - thanks to the swift actions of soldiers, medics, and military medical professionals - led to a medically-induced coma for 36 days at the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. During this ordeal, his wife, Lee, became acquainted with the struggles faced by families of service members dealing with traumatic brain injuries (TBI), post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and depression. The Woodruff family dedicated themselves to supporting veterans and their families in overcoming the challenges of transitioning back to civilian life.
- To help us honor U.S. veterans, consider donating to the Bob Woodruff Foundation today to help vets receive the resources, support, and the life they deserve after putting their lives on the line for America.
